Flying Fungus

Flying Fungus is a race of creature in the Nature Civilization.

Story

The Flying Fungi are a race of fungus creatures that grow on the dark forest floor. They absorb nutrients and strength from other living plants. When they grow, their skin sacs fill with a poisonous gas which enables them to hover above the ground. When the gas is expelled and gravity pulls them down to the surface, Flying Fungi spread their toxic spores to reproduce. Flying Fungi are collected by Beast Kin for food and fuel.
